Royal Jordanian Airlines, or simply referred to as Royal Jordanian, is the national flag carrier airline in Jordan. Founded in 1963, the airline was started by royal decree by the late King Hussein and was named as Alia Airlines after his eldest daughter, Princess Alia bint Al Hussein of Jordan, until 1986 when it was renamed to the current name, Royal Jordanian Airlines. The airline began with two aircraft and had grown to a fleet size of 24 aircraft operating over 500 flights weekly to 60 destinations.

Royal Jordanian is headquartered in Amman, Jordan and has its primary hub at the Queen Alia Airport and a secondary hub at the King Hussein Airport or Aqaba Airport. It is a member of the global airline alliance, Oneworld, along with American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways. Royal Jordanian also has codeshare agreements with other airlines such as Alitalia, Middle East Airlines and Turkish Airlines.

In Malaysia, the Royal Jordanian Airlines operates flights out of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Currently, the airline flies three times a week from Kuala Lumpur to Amman via Bangkok.

Royal Jordanian Airlines provides passengers several ways to check in for flights at their convenience. The airline recommends that travellers take advantage of their web check-in service that not only allows passengers to select their chosen seats for the flights. For passengers flying out of Amman, Royal Jordanian offers their Advanced Check-in service. Just visit the City Terminal located at 7th Circle to check-in, choose your seat, drop off your baggage and collect your boarding pass. Advance Check-in is available from 24 hours to 8 hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight. Remember to arrive at the airport one hour before to go through the immigration and security checks.
