United Airways Bangladesh, officially United Airways (BD) Ltd., operates as United Airways. It is a Bangladeshi airline operating domestic and international flights across six countries to over twelve destinations.

United Airways Bangladesh was founded in 2005 and has grown from one Bombardier Dash 8-100 aircraft to a fleet size of over ten aircraft. The airline is headquartered in Uttara, Dhaka with its primary hub the Shahjalal International Airport. It also has Shah Amanat International Airport as its secondary hub.

United Airways Bangladesh operates flights to eight domestic and nine international cities. Some of the more popular international routes the airline offers are flights from Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur and flights from Chittagong to Bangkok.

Why Fly with United Airways Bangladesh

Check-in

United Airways Bangladesh only offers airport check-in for all their flights. The airline recommends that all passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights and one hour for domestic flights. Arriving at the airport at these suggested times will allow passengers ample time to go through the check-in, security, customs and immigration procedures. Some airports may vary, so it is best to check with the airline or travel agent for the latest information.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

United Airways Bangladesh offers complimentary baggage allowance for all passengers. All adult passengers are allowed to check-in up to 20 kilogrammes while those travelling with infants are allowed an additional 10 kilogrammes. For cabin or hand carried baggage, all passengers are allowed to hand carry onboard up one piece of luggage not exceeding the maximum weight of 7 kilogrammes. Excess baggage will be subject to fees. For domestic flights, excess baggage is charged BDT100 (MYR5) per kilogramme while for international flights, each kilogramme will be charged BDT1000 (MYR54).

Seating

United Airways Bangladesh currently operates on full economy class cabin seats on all of its aircraft. There have been plans to offer two cabin classes – Economy and Business Class, but the availability of these cabins will depend on the flight route and aircraft used.

In-flight Services

United Airways Bangladesh offers complimentary onboard dining for international flights while light snacks and beverages are offered during domestic flights. United Airways does not offer in-flight entertainment. However, they offer an in-flight magazine called ‘Welcome Bangladesh' to help keep passengers entertained during the flight.
