Barcelona–El Prat Airport, Spain

Handling domestic and international flights, the Barcelona El-Prat Airport consists of two terminals and is one of the largest airports in Spain. Passengers may travel between both terminals via a shuttle bus service provided free of charge by the airport.

Shopaholics will enjoy the wide selection of shops available at the airport. Ranging from fashion apparel and accessories produced by well-known brands such as Adidas and Zara, to gifts and souvenirs, home appliances, and electronics, there is something for every traveller. The Barcelona Duty Free stores offers travellers duty-free goods such as cologne and perfume, liquor, wine and tobacco. There are bars and cafes, which provide travellers a place to sit and relax with a cup of coffee, or have some dessert like ice cream. Hungry visitors may settle down at one of the restaurants or fast-food joints for a meal. Popular fast-food outlets such as Burger King and McDonald's can be found at the airport.

The Business Centre in Terminal 1 is equipped with a wide array of facilities such as large meeting rooms, computers, televisions and telephones, as well as internet access. Business travellers may stay connected on the go and continue working in a conducive environment. There is also the VIP Pau Casals Lounge, which has been voted one of the best lounges in the world, with facilities such as complimentary food and drinks, televisions screening entertainment and news channels, free Wi-Fi, shower areas, comfortable and quiet areas for rest, and newspapers.

Travellers may access the free Wi-Fi service throughout both terminals. However, free access is only limited to the first 15 minutes. Subsequently, travellers may pay a fee to continue using the internet. There are also several money exchange counters for travellers to perform currency exchange, with ATM machines scattered throughout the airport that allows them to withdraw cash. Prayer rooms in the airport are open to travellers of all faiths to use for meditation.

Travellers may take the train, which travels down the R2 North Line, and alight at different stations depending on their desired destination. Fares vary accordingly.

There are buses connecting both terminals to central Barcelona, and the journey typically takes half an hour, depending on traffic conditions. The buses stop at major points in the city.
