Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, India

Named after the only female Prime Minister in India’s history, Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest airport in the country. It consists of three terminals handling both domestic and international flights. Passengers may travel between the airport terminals via the complimentary shuttle bus service provided by the airport. The waiting time between each shuttle bus is around 20 minutes.

Travellers in transit or have time to kill may indulge in a spot of shopping. There are numerous shops selling items such as fashion apparel and accessories, local confectionery and produce, gifts and souvenirs, books and magazines, toys, games, and perfume. There are also luxury designer brand items available at the airport. Duty-free items that may be purchased include perfume and cosmetics, Indian delicacies, tobacco and liquor.

If passengers wish to use a higher-speed connection, they may do so by paying a fee. Parents travelling with children may use the baby changing rooms, which are equipped with baby change tables. There are also play areas for children, and these are stocked with various games. Strollers are available for rent and use within the airport as well. There is a prayer room for travellers at the international terminal, so anyone looking for peace and quiet may head there.
