The Senai International Airport consists of just one terminal, but it handles both the domestic and international flights servicing Johor as well as the southern states of Peninsular Malaysia.
There is a wide range of restaurants and cafes at the airport. Famous names such as KFC and Subway have set up shop at the airport to cater to travellers who wish to grab a quick meal before boarding their planes. There are also halal food outlets catering to Muslim travellers and restaurants serving local Malaysian delights.
If you’re in the mood to shop, there are outlets selling clothing, bags, shoes, watches and jewellery, electronic goods, gifts and souvenirs, books and magazines. There is also a duty-free shop selling items such as liquor, tobacco, cosmetics etc.
Travellers who wish to book last minute flights may do so at the airlines ticketing counters located at the airport. Money changers are available for those who wish to exchange foreign currency, and they may withdraw cash at ATMs throughout the airport. Additionally, there are prayer rooms for Muslim travellers who wish to pray or spend some time alone.
Handicapped passengers may request for wheelchair rentals for use at the airport. These travellers are also encouraged to notify their respective airlines in advance, so that special assistance may be made for them. There are also special restrooms available, which have been fitted with railings to assist them and ease their difficulties.
The Plaza Premium Lounge provides business travellers a relaxing, peaceful and quiet environment to work in. Facilities such as telephones and facsimile machines, newspapers and magazines, as well as televisions with global news channels are provided at the lounge. Other travellers may also take advantage of the complimentary food and comfortable rest areas to relax.
