Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, or Bangkok International Airport, serves the city of Bangkok in Thailand. The Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport also serves Thailand’s province of Samut Prakan. As one of the biggest international airports in Southeast Asia, Suvarnabhumi Airport serves as a hub for numerous airlines such as Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways and Thai Smile. It is also the focus city for EVA Air and Vietnam Airlines flights to Gaya.

Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has one passenger terminal building that operates both domestic and terminal flights. The passenger terminal has seven floors and two basement levels. The 4th floor has all the domestic and international departures while all arrivals are located on the 2nd floor.

The Suvarnabhumi Airport is located approximately 34 kilometres from the city centre of Bangkok. A taxi from the city centre to the airport would cost around THB315-400 (MYR40-50) and take about 26 minutes of travel time. Taking the bus or train would be a cheaper alternative for THB24-63 (MYR3-8) with a travel time of 30 minutes for the train and 57 minutes for the bus.
