Miri Airport is a public commercial airport located in the city of Miri in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. The airport is an important gateway to Sarawak and the city’s second busiest airport. Miri Airport serves the city of Miri and serves as a significant hub for MASwings.
The Miri Airport welcomes over 2 million passengers annually since 2016. It currently has one terminal building serving domestic flights within Malaysia and international flights to Singapore. There are presently only three airlines operating flights at Miri Airport – AirAsia, MASwings and Malaysia Airlines.
Miri Airport is located approximately 13 kilometres from the city centre of Miri. A taxi ride from the city centre to the airport would take about 12 minutes of travel time and cost around MYR18-23. There is currently no other public transportation recommended in getting to the airport from the city centre.
