Gimhae International Airport, located on Gangseo-gu at the west end of Busan, is the third most important airport in South Korea. It operates several scheduled domestic and international flights. It serves as the primary hub for Air Busan. Its runway 18L/36R is exclusively used for military purposes. Its domestic operations mainly include flights from Seoul Gimpo, Seoul Incheon Airport, and Jeju Island while its international flights are mainly from major cities in China, Japan, Philippines, and Vietnam, as well as a number of flights to Macau, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Saipan, Thailand, and Russia.
