Tan Son Nhat International Airport is the busiest and largest airport in Vietnam. It is located six kilometres north of the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, in Tan Binh District. After its recent expansion, the airport currently has a capacity to cater to 25 million passengers annually. In 2014, it handled about 22 million passengers, serving Ho Chi Minh City and the rest of south-eastern Vietnam.
