Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport was previously known as the Subang International Airport and as Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Even today, it is often referred to as Subang Airport or Subang Skypark. The airport is located in the Subang suburb situated in the Petaling District in Selangor, Malaysia.
The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport currently only have one passenger terminal building named Terminal 3. It is also called SkyPark Terminal @ SAASA. This terminal serves mostly domestic flights within Malaysia and two international destinations – Singapore and Batam in Indonesia. Flights at the Subang airport are operated by Firefly and Malindo Air.
Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is located approximately 22 kilometres from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. A taxi from the city centre to the airport would take about 19 minutes of travel time and cost around MYR45-55. A cheaper alternative would be to first take a train from KL Sentral to Ara Damansara station for MYR1-4 and then grab a cab to the Subang airport for MYR24-30. The total journey time would be about 34 minutes.
