Birmingham Airport, previously known as the Birmingham International Airport as well as Elmdon Airport, is an international airport that serves the city of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. The airport welcomes over 11 million passengers annually making it the seventh busiest airport in the United Kingdom.
Birmingham Airport currently has one terminal building serving both domestic flights within the UK and international flights from the United Kingdom. The single two-storey building is separated into two areas named Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 houses most of the departure gates from gates 40 to 54 and 55 to 68 while Terminal 2 has gates 1-20.
