Best Time to Visit Bangkok

Bangkok is a year-round destination. It has a tropical climate with monsoon seasons to be expected in certain periods of the year. The temperature in Bangkok is hot and humid usually averaging 30 degrees Celsius.

If you want to get the best out of your holiday, it is often said that the best time to visit Bangkok would be during the cooler months. December, January and February are regarded as the ‘cold months' where temperatures can drop to 20 degrees Celsius especially at night. These months would be the most comfortable time to visit Bangkok especially if you're not accustomed to the tropical weather.

The months of March through May are considered to be the ‘hot months’, but it is also the season where Bangkok celebrates many of its local festivals including Thai New Year. If you are planning to travel during this season, don't forget to keep your hat, sunglasses and sunscreen handy while on tour. To beat the heat, head into the many air-conditioned malls or spend the day lounging by your hotel pool.

Lastly, May through October is the rainy season. If you are looking for a good deal, this is a perfect time as it is considered to be the city's low peak season. Be aware that there will be frequent rainfall, but this should not be a deterrent to holidaying in Bangkok as there are many indoor activities to occupy your time.
