Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the main international airport serving the metropolitan area of Mumbai, India. The airport, formerly known as Sahar International Airport, is the second busiest airport in India, after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, based on passenger traffic welcoming over 45 million passengers annually.
The Mumbai airport currently has two main passenger terminals. Terminal 1, located in the Santacruz area, operates all domestic flights while Terminal 2, located in Sahar village, operates both international and domestic flights.

Travelling to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to Mumbai’s city centre
Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is located approximately 13 kilometres from the city centre of Mumbai. A taxi to get to the city centre from the airport takes about 11 minutes of travel time and would cost around INR420-545 (MYR27-35).
A cheaper alternative to get to the city centre would be to take the Mumbai Suburban Railway from Vile Parle station (from the domestic terminal in Santacruz) or the Andheri station (Sahar) to Elphinstone Road for about INR15 (MYR1). The train journey would take about 15 minutes and departs from the station every 10 minutes.
