Phnom Penh International Airport is Cambodia’s largest airport covering a land area of 400 hectares. The airport is located just west of the capital city of Phnom Penh. Formerly known as Pochentong International Airport, it serves the area of Phnom Penh and is the main hub for numerous airlines such as Bassaka Air and Cambodia Angkor Air.

The Phnom Penh International Airport welcomes over 3 million passengers annually. The airport currently has one passenger terminal with over 20 check-in counters servicing numerous airlines. Both domestic and international flights arrive and depart from this terminal.

The Phnom Penh airport has several facilities and services on offer for passengers arriving, departing or transiting through the airport. Banking services such as ATMs and currency exchange are available on the first and second floor of the terminal building. At the international side of the terminal, a VIP lounge is available with free internet access. Duty-free shops and retail stores are also available as well as restaurants and cafés that offer food and beverage for departing passengers. On the domestic side, there are fewer facilities on offer, but all essential services should be available.

The Phnom Penh International Airport is located approximately 9 kilometres from the city centre of Phnom Penh. A taxi from the airport to the city centre would cost around KHR 38,000-62,000 (MYR 40-65) and take about 9 minutes of travel time.

A cheaper alternative would be to take the local Phnom Penh City Bus for KHR 2,800 (MYR3) and a journey time of about 39 minutes. For the more adventurous traveller, try taking the popular tuk-tuk, which is a three-wheel vehicle, for at least KHR 28,500 (MYR30).
