Shanghais Metro system is one of the worlds largest and easiest to use. Buses and taxis cover the rest of the city, and walking is pleasant along the Bund and in the French Concession.
Shanghai airports
Shanghai has two major airports: Pudong International Airport (PVG) for most international flights, and Hongqiao Airport (SHA) for most domestic routes. Both are linked to the city by Metro and train.

A hire car isnt needed for central Shanghai, but is useful for trips to nearby water towns like Zhujiajiao or Suzhou. Roads are modern and well maintained.
