The main terminal is operated by the Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd, and is equipped with various services, ranging from security services, immigration assistance, check-in desks, baggage handling services, and waiting areas/lounges, and even passenger assistance desks.
On the other hand, flights from Johor Bahru will be arriving through the sole terminal of Langkawi International Airport. Langkawi International Airport terminal receives flights from several airlines, including AirAsia, Firefly, Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air, Silk Air, and Tigerair. The terminal has ground transportation connections to Langkawi via Padang Matsirat.

The largest of the 104 islands is its name sake Langkawi Island, which has a population of some 64,792 people. Langkawi does not have a time difference with Johor Bahru, as they belong to the same country and the same time zone. Further, the island group currently receives more than 2,400mm of rain annually, with the dry season running between December to February and the wet season running between March and November. August is the islands' wettest month, when it normally receives at least 500mm of rain.
