Departure from Singapore Changi Airport

The easiest and fastest way to get to Changi airport for your Singapore to Kuala Lumpur flight is via the public taxi. The ride will cost around 20 to 30 SGD and take around 30 minutes from the city centre. You can also pre-arrange a private or shared airport transfer from Skyscanner.

There are also public buses departing from Orchard road, Suntec city and Dhoby Ghaut area directly to the airport for the more budget conscious travellers. There are four passenger terminals in Changi Airport and all are linked by a free public skytrain. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is located 45km south of the city centre. Upon arriving from your Singapore to Kuala Lumpur flight, the fastest and most convenient way of getting to KL Sentral (KL’s main train station), is via the KLIA Express train. The train journey takes only 30 minutes and cost RM55 (SGD19) per way. The train also has complimentary WiFi onboard for passengers if required.

Alternatively, there is also the KL Airport Coach or Skybus from the airport to KL Sentral. Although the bus fare is only RM10 (SGD3.50), travellers should be prepared to spend a minimum travel time of 60 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) Information

Kuala Lumpur SZB Airport, also known as ‘Subang Airport’, is closer to KL Sentral as compared to KLIA. Once arriving from your Singapore to KL flight, the easiest and most direct way of getting to KL Sentral is via a public taxi or a pre-arranged private airport transfer from Skyscanner. The car journey will take a minimum of 25 minutes depending on the traffic conditions upon arrival from your Singapore to Kuala Lumpur flight.

For the more budget conscious travellers, taking KL’s commuter rail system or more formally known as the KTM Komuter is another option. The train departs from SZB airport to KL Sentral every 90 minutes and costs SGD5 with a journey time of 30 minutes.

Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) Information

Kuala Lumpur SZB airport is a one-building airport terminal. Dining and duty-free shops are extremely limited in this airport so travellers are advised to eat outside of the airport if your flight arrives late.
