Tazumal - Tazumal is a Pre-Columbian Maya archeological site located in Chalchuapa in El Salvador. It is an architectural complex within the ancient Meso-American city, in the western division of the country. It is believed to be inhabited from the Classical period through the Postclassical era, and that the site had links as far as central Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, and lower Central America. Evidences, including metal artifact from the complex date to the 8th century AD, are among the oldest and earliest metal artifacts in the country and in Meso-America.

Cathedral of Santa Anna (St. Anne, mother of Mary) - The Cathedral of Santa Ana is a neo-Gothic cathedral located in Santa Ana, El Salvador. It was constructed and partially completed in 1906, and was consecrated on February 1913. Construction continued decades after the consecration that followed until it, until it was finally fully completed in 1959. It was by then, too, that the marble altar to the Virgin Mary was consecrated and completed. The over-all church design was Gothic, going against the traditional Spanish Colonial style. The North Tower features three bells that are activated manually, while the South Tower features three bells, brought from the Netherlands in 1949, which are activated electronically.
