I think it depends on when you stay at the Hallows as to how much you will enjoy it. During busy periods I think it would be a good choice - the front part of the building is nicely restored and although things deteriorate a bit as you get into the rear of the building, it's comfortable enough. On our first night there was just us and one other couple staying. On the second night, just us. The building is very large and rambling and there was no one at reception at any stage. The property is on the outskirts of town and feels quite isolated. I certainly wouldn't recommend if you are travelling alone. It's a huge, empty space. It's good value for money though, with the facilities you get.

Comfortable Stay

Stayed for a work trip.
Location is good, walking distance to Mount Panorama to wander around the track.
Rooms are clean, no fuss and good for the price.
No kitchen facilities available or could be found in the hotel for guest use.
Overall nice place to stay, will be back

Quirky old rural mansion from 1800s converted into travellers’ accommodation next to Mt Panorama at beautiful Bathurst - comfortable amenities and interesting ambience of rabbit Warren corridors and furnishings - good value at reasonable tariff

No contact checkin. Pouring water from electric jug was a challenge, spout not very good. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Nice place to stay.
full of racing photos just a shame there wasn't anything on the building's history.
