Flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is situated in the region of Samut Prakan, 30 kilometres away from Bangkok and has two terminals, domestic and international. It is the country’s biggest international airport. Depending on the driving conditions, a shuttle bus ride from the airport to Bangkok downtown centre can take about 20 minutes to an hour at a total cost of THB 400 (RM 50). Bangkok flights to Don Mueang Airport (DMK)

Don Mueang Airport (DMK) is smaller compared to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. However, it is situated slightly closer to the centre of town, about 23 kilometres away from Siam Area. A bus ride from the Don Mueang Airport to Bangkok downtown centre can probably take between 30 minutes to an hour. The trip will cost around THB 200 (RM25). Best time to visit Bangkok

The best time to visit Bangkok is from December to February. During these months, the temperatures can drop to 20 degrees Celsius and it would be more comfortable to travel around Bangkok, especially if you do not like the hot and humid tropical weather.

March to May should be avoided if you do not like the heat. However, during these months, there are many local festivals like Songkran in Bangkok that you can participate in if you visit since it is the time to celebrate the Thai New Year.
