Why Fly IndiGo

Ways to Check-in

IndiGo offers a variety of ways for passengers to check-in for flights. Other than the usual check-in services at the airport, IndiGo allows passengers to check-in online, through their official mobile application or at one of the self-service check-in kiosks.

Online check-in services through the airline's official website are available any time up to an hour before the flight departure time. This service is available for passengers holding a confirmed booking purchased with the airline or through an authorised travel agent. For mobile check-in, passengers would need to download the official app available on iOS, Android and Windows devices. For the kiosk check-in service, just proceed to the airport and find one of the kiosks available at selected airports as an alternative to counter check-ins.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

IndiGo offers complimentary baggage allowance for their flight. Passengers are allowed to check-in up to 15 kilogrammes for domestic flights and 20 kilogrammes for international flights. For passengers flying to Doha, Dubai, Muscat or Sharjah, the maximum weight for checked baggage is up to 30 kilogrammes. All checked bags should also not exceed the total dimension size of 158 centimetres or 62 inches.

For hand carried or cabin baggage, all passengers are allowed to hand carry up to 7 kilogrammes and within the maximum size dimension of 55cm x 35cm x 25cm. This weight allowance includes laptops and duty-free shopping. However, note that for flights originating from Jammu and Srinagar, cabin baggage is not allowed due to airport security regulations.

However, passengers may pre-purchase meals during the booking process or anytime before check-in through the airline's website or by calling the call centre hotline. Depending on how long the flight is, light snacks or hot meals may be available for purchase during the trip.
