Cathay Pacific offers many ways for passengers to check-in for flights at their convenience. Online registration is available usually 48 hours before departure time. Be sure to have your booking information handy as it is needed to check-in online including flight numbers, passenger names and departure dates. For passengers who choose to check-in direct at the airport, it is recommended to arrive at the departure airport at least two hours before departure to have ample time to complete check-in and immigration checks. Airport check-in counters are open from two hours up to 45 minutes before departure time.

Baggage Allowances

Complimentary baggage allowance for Cathay Pacific varies depending on your flight route, cabin class or if you have a frequent flyer membership. Economy Class passengers are allowed up to 20 kilogrammes of free checked baggage allowance, and Premium Economy have up to 25 kilogrammes, Business Class passengers have a maximum of 30 kilogrammes while First Class passengers can enjoy up to 40 kilogrammes. It is best to check with your travel agent or direct with the airline for the latest information on baggage allowance and excess baggage fees.


Cathay Pacific offers comfort to each and every passenger on their flights. Economy Class passengers will enjoy 6-inch reclining seats with a 4-way moveable headrest while Premium Economy Class passengers will have the added comfort of 8-inch reclining seats, 3-position footrest as well as a 4-way moveable headrest. Business Class passengers are afforded more privacy in their cabin with each seat equipped with lumbar cushions and adjustable headrests. Meanwhile, First Class passengers will enjoy the luxurious cabin that comes fully furnished with seats that convert to fully-flat beds as well as wide-screen TV monitors for in-flight entertainment.

Each passenger on a Cathay Pacific flight will enjoy in-flight services that include in-seat television screens where they can access an in-flight entertainment system offering a broad range of the latest Hollywood and Asian movies, television programs as well as an extensive music library and kid-friendly games.
