Great hotel in and around Schloss Frauental
We only spent one night at the Sorgerhof to take part in a golf tournament. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to bad weather. Despite booking for 3 nights and leaving early, we were only charged for one night. That's what I call customer friendliness. Great hotel with a great breakfast and very good cuisine.

Lovely place for an overnight stay
On our long journey down from West Germany to the southern tip of Croatia, we made an essential stopover at the Sorgerhof hotel in Frauental an der Lassnitz. Finding the hotel was fairly easy and there was ample, free parking. We were met by two friendly ladies, one of whom checked us in and pointed to the lift taking us to our two bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor.
Actually the door to the second bedroom was locked and it took us a while to realise that the hotel management had forgotten to unlock that room for us - something that they quickly corrected with profuse apologies when asked. So with two large rooms with twin beds pushed together we were very pleased. The larger of the two rooms, a corner room, had a sofa, a separate arm chair and footrest, mini bar and TV. The second room was equally well equipped. We appreciated the air conditioning and good quality WiFi. We also had a separate bathroom and WC together with a small hallway. Or dog was accepted without difficulties. In fact one of the staff recommended a nice walk for after dinner which we all needed after a long car journey down from Bavaria.
Breakfast was a simple affair - a small buffet with all the usual offerings.
Before checking out we also went on a small tour of the village taking the road past the ice cream shop, then right, parallel to the railway line before following the river back to the hotel.

Simple and friendly little hotel
very sympathic hotel in the middle of a magnific rural quiet village, country of squash seed oil. A breakfast very simple and rich. Bed is good. Bathroom is also good. The restaurant serves good quality food.

Excellent venue to stay
We stayed at this hotel for one night and though it's not the cheapest available in the village, it provided us with an excellent impression. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. If you stay at the hotel, I would also suggest to eat at their own restaurant.
