Beautiful location
We had an overall wonderful experience, and I want to begin by saying that the accommodations, food, location, and especially our guide were exceptional. I wanted to share a few observations that I hope will be helpful.
Our airport pickup started well, although we had hoped for more of a leisurely, scenic drive as we have experienced at other properties. Because the driver explained that it was a particularly busy day and that we needed to get directly to the lodge, we completely understood. However, the arrival experience itself felt unorganized and not very special. We were greeted and brought inside, given a form to complete, and eventually offered a drink, but the welcome did not feel quite as warm or engaging. Elizabeth could had more enthusiastic and inviting.
The pool area could also use some attention. The water appeared somewhat stagnant and did not feel especially inviting. The bar was quite small, and there was not consistently a bartender available. We often had to ask someone to locate a staff member to prepare a drink. Having someone consistently available at the bar would be good. We also noticed that the beverage selection was fairly limited, with gin, one type of vodka, wine, and beer. Expanding the selection slightly would enhance the overall experience.
That said, Jacob was an exceptional waiter—warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in making our experience special. He happily made adjustments when needed, arranged seating for us, shared wonderful information about his culture, and thoroughly explained each meal. The chef was also fantastic, and we especially appreciated that he came out to speak with us in the evening. The food was truly outstanding.
And then there was Steven, our guide for the three days, who was absolutely fabulous He worked tirelessly to find every beautiful part of the park and every animal we hoped to see. He found us a huge pride of lions, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, and so much more. He knew exactly where to go, and when he didn't immediately know where something was, he continued scouting until he found it. We dedicated a full day to visiting the Maasai Mara to experience the Great Migration. He was patient, knowledgeable, incredibly diligent
One small suggestion for the Jeep would be to provide binoculars for guests.
Our room was gorgeous—truly one of the best rooms we have experienced in Africa. We appreciated all of the thoughtful touches,boots, raincoats, bathrobes, hot-water bottles, chocolates.One small housekeeping suggestion would be to make towel replacement easier. If guests place towels on the floor, they naturally expect them to be replenished, and although the sign instructed us to contact the front desk, it was sometimes difficult to find someone there.
Our departure/check-out experience was unfortunately more stressful than it needed to be. We spent 15–20 minutes at the front desk while there was confusion over an outstanding bill for approximately $69. We explained that we had already taken care of the relevant charges ourselves, and eventually Elizabeth realized that the bill had been entered under the wrong name and actually belonged to another family. Given the hurried circumstances, this added unnecessary stress to what should have been a smooth departure.
**In summary, the land, wildlife, accommodations, food, and guiding were truly over the top.** We had some exceptional experiences here, and Jacob and Steven in particular deserve recognition for the outstanding service they provided.
My comments are really intended as constructive feedback because the property has so much potential to be exceptional. With a little additional staff training, stronger communication, more consistent front-desk and bar service, and a bit more polish in the guest-facing experience, I believe this lodge could elevate itself significantly.

Lovely safari lodge with stunning views of the savannah
Fantastic safari lodge with large, spacious and well-equipped "tents". Spectacular view from own terrace (stayed in no. 5). Delightful food, super mixoligist in the bar (Arthur), friendly staff and top safari guide (John). The place has its own lovely, small pool. Recommended on the strongest

Exceptional setting, with kind profession and welcoming staff. The accommodation is wonderful waking to breathtaking views. The wildlife is indescribable. The most memorable stay that I will return to.

Ecotourism Resort Overlooking Game Filled Savannah
Well situated overlooking a savannah teeming with game and views of distant hills. Excellent food, friendly and accommodating staff. Highly rated ecotourism location. Stilian our guide was wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and attentive to our requests. We said we wanted to see a leopard, having missed seeing one on our previous Kenya trip, and he spotted one for us within 20 minutes of our first game drive! And another the next morning! View from room also superb.
