Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend
We were very disappointed with our stay at Riad Nasreen, as it fell far below expectations.
On arrival, we were downgraded because the riad could not provide the double bed we had booked. Despite receiving a lower standard room, no refund or adjustment was offered, which was frustrating.
Unfortunately, noise was a major issue throughout our stay. The owner played loud music late into the night, and on one occasion around 11:30pm, furniture was being dragged around on the rooftop, making it very difficult to sleep. There was also drilling and hammering during the day due to ongoing works.
The atmosphere also didn’t feel guest-focused. Staff and the owner frequently used the common areas, including the rooftop, for their own meetings, which made it uncomfortable to relax in shared spaces.
In terms of facilities, the pool was dirty and not usable, and the shower temperature was very inconsistent, switching between too hot and too cold.
To make matters worse, I emailed the riad several times regarding these issues and received no response.
Overall, this was not the peaceful or welcoming stay we had hoped for, and we would not return.

The breakfast included was just jam, 2 apples, egg, bread, orange juice and coffee it wasn’t very filling. The swimming pool is very small, you would not be able to swim in it. The staff however were always amazing and helpful. They were very welcoming.

Terrible experience!
Although the hotel confirmed my airport pickup, no taxi was waiting on arrival. The biggest issue, however, was the payment process. I repeatedly asked to settle my bill during my stay, but the staff kept delaying it. On my last night, my card was finally charged successfully and the amount was debited from my account.
As I was leaving the next morning at 3:30 am, the night staff refused to let me go, claiming I had not paid. Even after showing proof of payment, the owner/manager, Mr. Nasreen, insisted over the phone that I pay again. After 15 stressful minutes, I left carrying my luggage on my own while staff followed and pressured me, even telling the taxi driver that I had not paid.
To this day, there has been no apology, despite the payment clearly going through.
It’s a real shame, because aside from this incident, I had an otherwise great stay.

The Riad is in a convenient location. The staff are friendly, the two ladies serving breakfast are awesome, and the main person (Habib) is very polite and helpful. There is a fair bit of noise at night and hard to sleep if you are a light sleeper. Some guests coming back late at night are quite loud and noise travels to all the rooms easily.

For sharing rooms, if either or both of guests are Moroccans, they will be required to show a marriage certificate, otherwise the hotel reserves the right to reject for check-in.
