We're back again in Sundown Studios after 2 years.

We are impressed of there beachfront studios with a very lovely beach/seaview. They have only 4 rooms.
The studio is big, well maintained and had all the amenities we need. We're enjoying our stay in Angols Point. It is the end of Station 3, White Beach. Thanks to Shieka & Sherwin who are responsible for our great stay in Sundown Studios. The owner is German married to a Filipina.

Quiet and Cozy Beachfront Accommodation

I stayed here for my birthday week in June 2021 (stayed for 6nights). It's quite pricey as you only get the room and of course the beach view/beachfront, but I love that this area of white beach is no longer crowded. Most of the time, I was alone swimming especially in the morning and noon.
The hosts are very responsive and accommodating tho, and the room is huge.
The downside is that it will take you 10-30mins walk to get to restaurants because the hotel doesn't have their own resto/cafe nor serve food, and the one within the property usually opens late - around 11am. If you're also someone who likes to enjoy dinner at restaurants in station 1 & 2, be sure you have enough battery to use your phone as flashlight/torch because the path to this side of white beach is dark.

Lovely stay at Station 3

First and foremost, shoutout to the receptionist, son of the owner, and kind sir from Surigao for being friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out went without a hitch.
For the location, you wouldn't find a better place if you're seeking peace and quiet away from the bustle of Station 2. The beach in front is just as great as well. A perfect continuation after Shangri-la Boracay.
We stayed in their Wave room, a premier studio, which was very spacious, stocked with plenty of amenities. Everyday we had refreshed towels and beddings as well as coffee capsules for the included coffee maker. Tea, bottles of water, a fridge, and more were available as well. All what you really need.
Their restaurant serves a Central European style cuisine and adorned with Central European designs/flags + Bayern München football team logos. Good food and service! Next time I'd love to have their St. Augustiner + Spaten as I miss having that in Munich.
Lastly, they went beyond their hospitality by helping us pay a curfew violation that we acquired on Halloween. We couldn't pay this as we had an early flight out, so this was very kind of them. They sent us a receipt after payment. You can fully trust them, that's for sure.
Overall, this property lives up to its name and logo. Enjoy a relaxing sundown every day between the coconut trees. Highly recommended!

Great apartments and team, average facilities and 'cafe'

Like the owners sporting fascination, this place is a game of two halves. The apartments themselves are really charming, nicely appointed and well decorated with designer touches. The fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the beach couldn’t be closer. We had a good sized terrace and the others looked generous too with loungers, table and chairs. The rooms are tidied every day with fresh towels, complimentary water and such like left in the room. The only complaint about the room is that the room facility list featured an espresso machine which leads you to think the coffee comes complimentary - only it doesn’t. The cost per capsule is more that a Starbucks; the machine becomes an over priced irrelevance.
The second half is the facilities downstairs. The signage quaintly describes these as ‘lounge’ and ‘restaurant’ which is disingenuous to say the least. A better description is ‘a poorly designed and maintained beach side diner’. The food is just above appalling and while the drinks are acceptable tho unimaginative, during happy hour they take it down a notch to small, bland and alcohol-free. If the happy hour drinks did have any booze in them it was a half-thimble at best.
The final whinge is the Internet. Now the general excuse is that the Internet is a bit hit and miss in the Philippines but whilst other cafes and restaurants managed to score mostly hits, Sundown scores mostly misses, save for the odd 1am burst of activity when it can score a few hits. We purchased a SIM card and loaded it up from the local store using our accumulated spare change and voila, fairly solid though hardly faultless internet performance.
The staff are friendly and attentive as only the Filipinos know how. Nothing was too much trouble, tho asking for a bucket of ice for our room did return a troubled look. The guy who attended to our room was a cheery soul and made sure to less us know any excursions we wanted booking could be done through him.

Excellent on all fronts

Had an excellent stay for 2 nights, wish we could have stayed longer. The studio is spacious and has everything you require. Located at the end of Station 3 its the perfect spot for a nice quite night. The balcony is huge and just adds to the already fantastic room. Thank you.
