Find your pick-up point
The car hire desk may be inside the train station, or you might need to walk a short distance or take a shuttle bus to collect your car. Your booking confirmation should tell you the exact pick-up location and any transfer information.
Plan around your train times
Car hire is often charged in 24-hour blocks. Choose pick-up and drop-off times that fit your train journey, so you don’t pay for an extra day. If your train's delayed, let the car hire company know as soon as possible.
Consider the cancellation policy
Changes to your train journey could affect when you need the car. You can find car hire deals from Sofia Sever with free cancellation, so you have the flexibility to change plans if you need to.
One-way car hire from the station
If you want to collect your car at Sofia Sever and return it somewhere else, tick ‘Return the car to a different location’ when you search on Skyscanner. We’ll then show you all the best one-way car hire deals.
Choose a fuel policy that suits you
With a full-to-full policy, you'll collect the car from Sofia Sever with a full tank and return it full, so you only pay for the fuel you use. With a pre-purchase policy, you pay for a full tank even if you don’t use it all.
Check what’s included
The cheapest daily price isn’t always the best value. The car and one driver are usually included in the price, but child seats, excess insurance and additional drivers may cost extra. A deal with a higher daily rate could still work out cheaper if it includes more of what you need.
