The Republic of Seychelles, also known as simply Seychelles, is an archipelago made up of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. The country is 1,500 km east of mainland Southeast Africa. Nearby is the Zanzibar Archipelago to the west, and to the south are Comoros, Mayotte, Madagascar, Réunion, and Mauritius. The capital and largest city is Victoria.

Sainte Anne Marine National Park

The Sainte Anne Marine National Park includes six small islands that lie about 5 km from Victoria. It was created in 1973 with the intent to preserve wildlife, hence, possibly destructive activities such as fishing and water-skiing are not allowed in the marine park. However, scuba diving, snorkelling, and glass-bottom boat excursions are allowed. The six islands that make up the national park are as follows: Ste. Anne Island, Cerf Island, Île Cachée, Round Island, Long Island, and Moyenne Island. There is a resort on Ste Anne and Creole-style restaurants on Cerf Island and Round Island.

Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception is the Mother Church of the Catholic Diocese in Seychelles. It is one of the first churches in the country, constructed on the site where the first vault was built by Father Leon of Avanchers on March 1851. Buried inside the cathedral in a tomb built in the flooring, is the first and only Seychellois Bishop, Felix Paul.

Curieuse Marine National Park

The Curieuse Marine National Park protects the native wildlife of the small granitic island of Curieuse and its surrounding waters. The island measures only about 4.6 km2 and lies near the north coast of the island of Praslin. It is known for its bar red earth and the unique Coco de Mer palms. The palms are a cultural icon of the Seychelles and only grow on Curieuse and Praslin.

Domaine de Val des Près (Craft Village)

Domaine de Val des Près showcases traditional Creole culture, with attractions that highlight Creole architecture, arts and craft, and gastronomy. There are 12 craft workshops and a house built of coconut products and containing very creative gifts made from coconut.

Though no longer the capital of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam still has interesting places to offer tourists. Look at fascinating fossils of some of the earliest human ancestors and various other remnants of Tanzania's colorful past at National Museum & House of Culture, or view the traditional houses of some of the 120 ethnic groups in the country at Village Museum. There's also Azania Front Lutheran Church, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Askari Monument, Mbudya Island, and Bongoyo Island.

Direct long-haul destinations from Seychelles include Paris, Frankfurt, and Hong Kong. Visit the family-fun attractions of Hong Kong such as Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong Wetland Park, Ngong Ping 360, Victoria Peak, and Ocean Park. Don't forget to go shopping at the night markets, take a trip on the Star Ferry for great views of the Hong Kong skyline, and try out all the local cuisine!

The airport is served by Air Austral, Air Seychelles, Condor, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, Kenya Airways, and SriLankan Airlines, all of which provide scheduled passenger service to various cities such as Abu Dhabi, Dar es Salaam, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai, Paris, Dubai, Frankfurt, and Colombo. Transaero Airlines offers seasonal flights to Moscow.
