Mir Castle Complex

The Mir Castle Complex is a 16th-century fortification located in the town of Mir, in the Grodno region. The castle was initially constructed in Gothic style by Duke Ilinich in the 1520s. In 1568, Mikolay Radziwil completed the castle in Renaissance style. The complex includes an Italian garden and an artificial lake. Mir Castle Complex is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum

The Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum in Minsk commemorates the German-Soviet War after the end of Nazi occupation. The museum was opened on 25 October 1944, shortly after the liberation of Minsk from the Nazi invaders. The museum was moved to its current location in 1966. It features 24 exhibition halls and has a collection of over 142,000 items.

Białowieża Forest

Białowieża Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the largest remaining areas that were part of the primeval forest that once covered the European Plain. The site encompasses an area of 1,418.85 km2, straddling the border between Belarus (Brest Voblast and Hrodna Voblast) and Poland (Podlaskie Voivodeship). It is located 70 km north of Brest. Białowieża Forest is home to the heaviest land animal of Europe, the European bison.

Brest Fortress

The Brest Fortress, formerly Brest-Litovsk Fortress, is a 19th-century Russian fortress commemorating the Soviet resistance against the German invasion in 1941. The fortress is located in Brest. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, under the Cultural category, on 30 January 2004.

Tiananmen Square is the venue for large parades and rallies, and tourists also come to watch the raising and lowering ceremony of the Chinese National Flag at sunrise and sunset.
