What to see in Warsaw

Start exploring the capital of Poland by visiting Old Town, lined with reconstructed houses bearing Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic and neoclassical elements.

Visit the Royal Castle, which served the Russian Tsars and became the residence of the president in 1918. The current building is a copy of the original, which was blown up by the Germans in WWII.

A typical Warsaw dish is fried or boiled pierogi (filled dumplings or ravioli) filled with tasty fillings. There are savoury versions such as the ruskie (Russian) and Z Kapusta (cabbage) as well as sweet versions like Z Serem (sweet cottage cheese and raisins).
