About Scandinavian Airlines

Scandinavian Airlines, also commonly known as SAS, is the official flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The airline is also Scandinavia's second largest airline based on the number of passengers carried following airline competitor, Norwegian.

Scandinavian Airlines or SAS is headquartered in Solna, Sweden and has primary hubs at the Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport, Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and Oslo-Gardermoen Airport. The airline’s focus cities are Bergen Airport, Stavanger Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Trondheim Airport in Værnes.

Founded in 1946, Scandinavian Airlines has since expanded to an airline with a fleet size of over 160 aircraft operating flights to more than 115 destinations. The airline is a member of the global airline alliance, Star Alliance along with All Nippon Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines. It also has codeshare agreements with several airlines such as Austrian Airlines, Icelandair and Etihad Airways and an interline agreement with Air Greenland. These partnerships help expand Scandinavian Airlines flight network to a more global scale.
