Jin Air flights

Jin Air is a low-cost airline carrier in South Korea. The airline is headquartered in Seoul and has primary hubs at the Gimpo International Airport and Seoul Incheon International Airport. It also has secondary hubs at the Gimhae International Airport and Jeju International Airport


Founded in 2008, Jin Air has since grown to a fleet size of 22 aircraft operating flights to 27 destinations – 5 domestic cities and 22 international cities. The airline has codeshare agreements with Korean Air as well as interline agreements with American Airlines, Island Air and Jetstar Group. 


Jin Air operates direct flights from Kota Kinabalu to Seoul daily.

Why fly with Jin Air

Check in

Checking in for Jin Air flights can be done at the airport. To check-in for flights, all passengers must present their passport, e-Ticket itinerary and receipt as well as any visa or entry documents if applicable. The airline recommends that passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time to give enough time to go through customs, immigration and security checks. Check-in counters will be closed 50 minutes before the departure time.

Baggage allowances and fees

Jin Air provides all passengers with complimentary checked baggage allowance. For domestic flights, passengers are allowed up to 15 kilogrammes of checked luggage while for international flights, it varies depending on the destination city. Generally, the maximum checked baggage allowance for international flight are between 15 to 23 kilogrammes each. For flights to the Americas, passengers are allowed to check-in up to two pieces of luggage. Each bag should also not exceed the maximum total dimension size of 158 centimetres or 62 inches including handles and wheels. Excess baggage fees will apply.


Jin Air provides passengers with two cabin classes – JINI Seat and JINI PLUS. The JINI Seat is the airline's standard seat usually found in economy class. The JINI Seat has a seat pitch of 30 to 31 inches and is 19 to 20 inches wide providing enough comfort for long haul flights. Meanwhile, the JINI PLUS Seats are located towards the front of the cabin and have a seat pitch of 36 to 37 inches and seat width of 19 to 20 inches. JINI PLUS Seats are available on selected flights.

In-flight services

Jin Air provides complimentary water on all flights while snacks and beverages are available for purchase. The availability of snacks and beverages depend on the flight route. Some flights may only offer beverages, especially shorter haul flights. As a low-cost airline carrier, Jin Air currently does not provide any in-flight entertainment on all flights.
