The country of Curaçao is an island nation in the Caribbean, situated north of the Venezuelan coast. It consists of the Curaçao, the main island, and the small uninhabited island of Klein Curaçao (Little Curaçao). It is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and occupies an area of 444 square kilometres. The capital and largest city is Willemstad, which features very unique architecture and harbour entry. It is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the official name Historic Area of Willemstad, Inner City and Harbour, Netherlands Antilles.

Curaçao snorkelling and diving - The waters in Curaçao are hailed for its abundant opportunities for diving and snorkelling. Curaçao boasts of 40 different dive areas and 65 individual sites, for beginners and experienced divers alike. Some of the most amazing dives found in Curaçao include the Superior Producer wreck, Newport, Beacon Point, Snake Bay, Barracuda Point, Lost Anchor, Sandy's Plateau, and Divers Leap.

Curaçao synagogue - Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, completed in 1674, is the oldest surviving synagogue in the Americas. It is situated in Willemstad and is a major tourist attraction in Curaçao.

Queen Emma Bridge - Queen Emma Bridge, also known as The Swinging Old Lady, is a pontoon bridge across St. Anna Bay, connecting the Punda and Otrobanda quarters of Willemstad. It has a total length of 167 m (548 ft) and width of 9.80 m (32 ft).

Sea Aquarium Curaçao - Sea Aquarium Curaçao is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. The marine life are contained in habitats very much like their natural environment in the wild, and with an open-water system, all the aquaria are in immediate contact with the open sea. It also has openings in the roof to allow in natural sunlight. Activities in the Sea Aquarium include dolphin and sea lion shows, nurse shark action show, aquarium tours, stingray encounter, underwater observatory boat, and touch tanks.

Visit Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago, where the major attractions include Emperor Valley Zoo, Royal Botanic Gardens, National Museum and Art Gallery, Trinidad, The Red House, Queens Park Savannah, and MovieTowne. In Sint Maarten, the main attraction is its beaches (with a total of 37 beaches), beach bars, and cafés. All the beaches are great for swimming and sunbathing. There are also 'clothing optional' beaches.

Travellers have the option to go to Eindhoven, Düsseldorf, or Amsterdam for long-haul flights. While Eindhoven is not a major tourist destination, that doesn't mean that the city has nothing to offer visitors. Formerly a simple village, Eindhoven grew to be called the City of Light due to the establishment and growth of electronics multinational Philips. Today, Eindhoven has many museums and landmarks, and the Philips-related attractions are a must.

Curaçao International Airport, also called Hato International Airport, is the airport serving Willemstad. Insel Air operates passenger service out of Curaçao to Aruba, Barranquilla, Barquisimeto, Bonaire, Caracas, Charlotte, Georgetown, Kingston, La Romana, Las Piedras, Maracaibo, Medellin, Miami, Paramaribo, Port of Spain, Santo Domingo, Sint Maarten, and Valencia. Other airlines serving Curaçao International Airport include Aerolíneas Mas, Air Berlin, Air Canada, Arkefly, Avianca, KLM, JetBlue Airways, and Surinam Airways, with flights to Montréal, Düsseldorf, Bogotá, Eindhoven, Amsterdam, and Panama City.
