Dublin Airport is an international airport located in Collinstown, Fingal which is a little over 10 kilometres away from the capital city of Ireland, Dublin. The airport is a primary gateway to Ireland serving an extensive network of short haul and medium haul routes. It also has a significant network of long haul flights particularly focused on destinations in the Middle East and North America.

Dublin Airport has two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 caters to mostly domestic and short haul flights excluding flights operated by Aer Lingus. Some of the short haul flight operators include Air Canada Rouge, Etihad and Ethiopian Airlines. Meanwhile, Terminal 2 caters to flights between Europe and the United States as well serving all Aer Lingus flights, both domestic and international.

As one of the country's major airports, Dublin Airport offers a broad range of services and facilities any passenger may need while at the airport. In both terminals, banking facilities such as ATMs and foreign exchange services are available at the different points of the airport including beyond the security area. Other notable services offered include excess baggage luggage storage, baby changing facilities, medical aid and religious facilities. Free WiFi access is also available at the airport.

Travelling to and from Dublin Airport to Dublin’s city centre

Dublin Airport is located approximately 15 kilometres from the city centre. A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre takes about 16 minutes of travel time and cost around EUR 21-26 (MYR100-130).

A cheaper alternative would be to take the local public bus which would cost around EUR4 (MYR 22) but can take up to 27 minutes of travel time. There other bus services available that would only take about 20-23 minutes of travel time but the cost would be between EUR 8-13 (MYR 40-65). Airport shuttles are also available at the terminal for around the same travel time as a taxi. Rates will vary, so it is best to check with the airport customer service for the latest information.

For passengers who wish to travel to the city centre in comfort and privacy, international car rental companies are available at the airport terminals. Car rental brands such as brands Europcar and Sixt.
