Why Fly IranAir

Ways to Check-in

IranAir currently only allows passengers to check-in at the airport. The airline recommends that passengers be checked-in at least an hour and a half before departure for domestic flights and at least three hours for international flights.

Passengers should arrive at the airport with ample time for check-in, security and immigration procedures. For domestic flights, passengers would need to present their tickets, passport and national ID card while passengers on international flights would need to show additional documents required along with the previously stated documents. A visa of the destination country would need to be presented while travel insurance and any other documents would need to be on hand.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

IranAir’s baggage policies follow the common airline policy. Each passenger is allowed to check-in up to 23 kilogrammes and within the total dimension size of 158 centimetres or 61 inches. For any excess weight, excess baggage fees will apply at the airport.

For hand carried or cabin baggage, passengers on domestic and international flights are allowed to carry up to 5 kilogrammes. For passengers in HOMA Class or business class, they are allowed to hand carry up to 7 kilogrammes. All bags should be within the size dimensions of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm or 115cm in total.

IranAir offers two types of cabin classes – Economy Class and Business Class or what they call as HOMA Class. Availability of cabin classes will depend on the flight route and assigned aircraft.

On IranAir’s newer aircraft, HOMA Class passengers will enjoy the comfort of seat 21-inches wide with a seat pitch of 38 inches. The seats are well padded with movable headrests and equipped with in-flight entertainment monitors and USB power ports. Meanwhile, Economy Class passengers will still be comfortable with relatively wide seats that are 18 inches wide and have a seat pitch of 31 inches. Each seat also comes equipped with personal seat-back monitors.

In-flight Services

IranAIr offers complimentary onboard dining. For flights that have a flight time of over an hour, hot meals and snacks will be served along with a selection of beverages that complements the meal. Meanwhile, passengers in HOMA Class will enjoy the extra service of having meals served on fine tableware and their choice of hot food off the carefully curated menu.

IranAIr also offers complimentary in-flight entertainment. Passengers will enjoy the audio-video-on-demand entertainment system that comes with a wide selection of the latest movies, popular TV programmes, music library and games.
