The capital city of France, Paris attracts more than 20 million tourists, both international and domestic, each year. It is the third-busiest airline destination in the world, and it’s served by three airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Paris Orly Airport (ORY) and Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA).

Flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

Charles de Gaulle Airport is the biggest airport in France and the main airport in Paris. It is the hub for Air France and it hosts around 150 other airlines including All Nippon Airways, American Airlines, Emirates, and Singapore Airlines.

The airport has three terminals known as Terminal 1, Terminal 2 (2A – 2G), and Terminal 3. It is located in Roissy district, 29 kilometres from the city centre. By taxi, it takes approximately 25 minutes to travel from the airport to the centre of Paris. The fare is RM230. Besides taxis, there are several alternatives like RER B trains and RATP buses. Flights to Paris Orly Airport (ORY)

Paris Orly Airport is the second international airport in Paris. It serves around 39 airlines from around Europe and the Middle East including Vueling, British Airways, and Air Europa.

The airport has two terminals known as Terminal Sud and Terminal Ouest. It is located in both Orly and Villeneuve-le-Roi cities, around 13 kilometres south of Paris. By taxi, it takes less than 20 minutes to get to the centre of Paris from this airport. Trains are, of course, the cheaper option.

Flights to Paris Beauvais Airport (BVA)

Paris Beauvais Airport handles mostly low-cost and regional flights to Paris. Some of the airlines that operate in this airport are Ryanair, Blue Air, and Wizz Air.

The airport is located in the Picardy region, around 85 kilometres from the heart of Paris. By taxi, it takes more than an hour to get to Paris city centre from the airport.

You can’t say you’ve been to Paris if you don’t get close to the monumental Eiffel Tower. It’s located at Champ de Mars but you can see it from various locations around the city. Take an elevator up to the tower to enjoy panoramic views. It’s open every day (except on 14 July) from 9am to 11pm.

Also, have a taste of the glamorous Parisian cabaret at the Moulin Rouge, where the iconic can-can dance was first performed. You can watch the evening shows while having a delectable dinner.

If you love museums, you’ll surely be visiting the Louvre. Another museum to drop by would be Orsay Museum, also known as Museum d’Orsay. It is home to French art pieces dated from 1848 to 1914, and it is here that you can find renowned artworks of Monet, Van Gogh, Cézanne, and Renoir. The museum is open from 9.30am to 6pm daily.
