Established formally in 2001, Blue Islands Limited, or simply Blue Islands, is an airline of the Channel Islands headquartered in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey, with a registered office in Saint Anne, Alderney. Originally an offshoot of Le Cocq's Stores' Le Cocq's Airlink, the airline operates scheduled services from the Channel Islands to the United Kingdom and Europe, with main base of operations in Jersey Airport. It previously operated carrying perishable goods from Bournemouth to Alderney before scheduled services were added in 2002. Changes of management and ownership led to brand revamps in its early years, with the Healthspan Group giving the airline a trading name of Rockhopper then its current name, Blue Islands.

Blue Islands fly to 13 destinations across United Kingdom and key cities in Europe, including the cities of Amsterdam, Bristol, Chambery, Geneva, Guernsey, Jersey, London, Paris, Southampton, and Zurich. And while the airline is a low-cost carrier, it flies to major airports that cater to these types of services, like the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and others. How to Check In

Aside from the physical check-in counters, an online check-in service is available for Blue Islands. Travellers are required to go to the airline's website then enter their last name/s and booking reference to check-in. Subject to terms and conditions, the online check-in service is available on all Blue Islands' routes.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

There are no baggage fees or excess baggage fees for Blue Islands. Subject to terms and conditions, each piece of luggage that a passenger carries or puts on hold will be free of charge. While there is an allotment of 20kg per passenger, any excess weight will be carried and taken in, subject to the available space on the aircraft. Furthermore, dimensions and other formalities are to be determined by the airline.

Seating

Blue Islands offer a single class of service on all its flights, and every passenger are welcome to enjoy the executive lounges available in both Jersey and Guernsey airports. Blue Islands also offer free change of ticket or flight schedule for every passenger – which is very important especially for those travellers who are subjected to schedule changes and the like, although if there are fare differences, the passenger should pay the amount due.
