Proflight Zambia Flights

Proflight Zambia (trading name of Proflight Commuter Services Ltd) is an airline based in Lusaka, Zambia. It serves the country’s business community and tourism industry. It now operates the largest fleet of aircraft in the country, after the demise of Zambian Airways and Zambezi Airlines, Zambia’s two national carriers. It operates both scheduled and charter flights. Founded in 1991, Proflight Zambia is headquartered in Lusaka, has hubs at Lusaka International Airport, and is a member of the frequent flyer program, Mbasela Club. It currently has a fleet size of 17 aircraft. Nine of which services charter flights and the remaining eight for scheduled flights. It flies to 11 destinations, all of which are within Zambia, with one flying to Lilongwe in Malawi.

Proflight Zambia is privately owned by ex-Zambia Airways pilot Tony Irwin (founder). Irwin began operating charters within the country and the region and founded the then-named Proflight Air Services, which was authorized by the Zambia Competition Commission to form an alliance with Zambezi Airlines in 2009, and was subsequently officially rebranded as Proflight Zambia in 2010. The airline took delivery of its first jet aircraft, a Boeing 727-200, in 2013 and later began regional scheduled service to Lilongwe, Malawi, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Proflight Zambia, along with ProCharter, has the largest fleet of aircraft in Zambia. It offers both scheduled and charter services within the country and the region, with Proflight Zambia aircraft based in Lusaka, Ndola and Mfuwe, making charters accessible from almost anywhere in Zambia.
